FRIDAY NIGHT – MY NIGHT!

Friday feet 1

I love Friday Night.

My still-at-home young teens are away on sleep overs.

My boyfriend/partner/whatever you call your mid-life person (whom you see but don’t live with) is out at his Club having a few drinks and laughs with his friends.

Pretending to be a teenager on a sleep over.Bless his fifty-three year old XXL jeans.

The cat is relaxed as it’s tormentors are all at large.

I love Friday Night.

Peace and quiet for reflection and reading.

Watching SBS & ABC  without explaining why.

Chocolate Tim Tams on the white sofa.

No make up.No bra.

I love Friday Night.

FACEBOOK FREE FEBRUARY..

In my usual style of going the extra mile,I took my commitment to  FACEBOOK  FREE  FEBRUARY  just that bit too far.

Clamping down on my Social Media Outlets and my Blog,I chose to cure my perceived addictions to the internet.

Here’s a list of “stuffs” I did instead:-

  • read the newspaper
  • talked to my children
  • rang my Mum for a chat
  • went for a walk
  • read a book
  • tried a new recipe
  • watched a movie
  • worked out
  • relaxed
  • took a nanna nap

Very soon it became evident to me how much time I was wasting per day on FaceBook.Always complaining I never had time to check my emails – let alone respond to them!

Pay attention to your Social Media  time.

Stop those notifications to your SmartPhone and get out there and live your life!

DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE

The Law of attraction states that the more we are grateful for,the more we will receive. It goes without saying that we should work hard to develop an attitude of gratitude.

How do we do that? I can hear you ask. It’s really quite simple. We have a lot to be grateful for in our day to day lives,we just need to acknowledge the little things.Let’s start simply. Are you grateful for your home, family, pets, car or motorbike? Are you grateful for the computer or phone you are reading this blog on? Now you’re getting the hang of it.It really is easy to work on developing an attitude of gratitude.

TRY THESE SIMPLE STEPS

  • Every time you enter a room, take a look around and make a mini mental list of all the things in the room you are grateful for.Simple things like the carpet you are standing on,the television, your furniture, your ‘special effects’.Wow,you have so much to be grateful for.
  • Start a Gratitude Journal. It doesn’t need to be a bound leather journal.Anywhere you can collect your writing will do.Each night before sleep, write down three good things that happened to you that day.Simple things like hug from your child, the smile from a stranger, someone paying you a compliment.

In your Gratitude Journal write down five things you are grateful for – a nice comfortable bed,a safe place to sleep – this is just the start of your ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. Do thisceach and every night and review each morning.
