Raised bed gardens are easy to source or make and are an excellent idea for an urban organic garden.I have been obsessed with doing a few raised bed gardens since I moved into a townhouse in the city.It seems to be the most time and space efficient way to fulfil my gardening fetish without digging up the lawn.
WHAT ADVANTAGES DOES A RAISED GARDEN BED HAVE?
Raised garden beds sit on top of the soil.Raised garden planter boxes have a slatted bottom and sit above the soil. They usually have a semi permeable covering at the base to allow for drainage. So a raised garden bed or a raised garden box? The choice depends on the available space you have to work with.As I am renting a townhouse in the city at the moment,I am going with a raised garden planter box.
Happy Gardening!

New information from The National Heart Foundation advises that if we replaced butter with margarine on our children’s bread – wait for this – we would remove 3KG SATURATED FAT from their diet and their lives.
That’s correct! THREE KILOGRAMS OF SATURATED FAT!
CHILDREN ARE CONSUMING TWICE THE RECOMMENDED LEVEL OF SATURATED FATS EACH YEAR!
These statistics are alarming!
Get down to that supermarket and get yourself some Canola Spread! Butter will kill you!

Look at this beautiful piece of ethnic art I found at a Sunday Market.
A beautiful multicoloured elephant scene painstakingly hand painted on a dry leaf!
It is truly a miniature masterpiece.
Just imagine what this artist could achieve with the right materials.
Simply amazing!
