Get outdoors.

Go for a walk.

Smile at a stranger.

I found this pretty red glass mosaic bowl @ Loot Homewares.

Such a groovey addition to my entrance table.

Oh for a peaceful quiet household tonight.

It’s the little things in life that really matter.

I think to myself – as I eat my way through a pack of Tim Tam‘s.

No hysterical mid teens having a fashion crisis.

No terrified cat looking for a place to hide.

No  transport mishaps that involve me having to intervene.

Just a few pleasant text messages.

It’s all good.

Only music playing.

Digital ABC TV.

Lamps on only.

Writing.

Photography.

Timeout for me.

It’s the little things in life that really matter.

FRIDAY NIGHT – MY NIGHT!

Friday feet 1

I love Friday Night.

My still-at-home young teens are away on sleep overs.

My boyfriend/partner/whatever you call your mid-life person (whom you see but don’t live with) is out at his Club having a few drinks and laughs with his friends.

Pretending to be a teenager on a sleep over.Bless his fifty-three year old XXL jeans.

The cat is relaxed as it’s tormentors are all at large.

I love Friday Night.

Peace and quiet for reflection and reading.

Watching SBS & ABC  without explaining why.

Chocolate Tim Tams on the white sofa.

No make up.No bra.

I love Friday Night.

Today, think about how lucky you are to have all that you have.Be grateful for your warmth, food and shelter.Be grateful for your loved ones, family and friends.

Your children.Your parents and siblings.

The luxury of fresh water.Nice homes.

Great cars.Excellent public transport systems. We have it all.

Yet some still whine and complain about their daily lives>

Do you whine and complain about your daily acts of living?

or

Do you embrace your modern life and give thanks and be grateful for the daily luxuries or added extras in our modern lives?

For a healthier body and your peace of mind, choose to be a happy co-creator of a lifestyle filled with thanks and gratitude.

Embrace YOUR life.

Live YOUR life.

Choose to be happy!

FACEBOOK FREE FEBRUARY..

Facebook logo

In my usual style of going the extra mile,I took my commitment to  FACEBOOK  FREE  FEBRUARY  just that bit too far.

Clamping down on my Social Media Outlets and my Blog,I chose to cure my perceived addictions to the internet.

Here’s a list of “stuffs” I did instead:-

  • read the newspaper
  • talked to my children
  • rang my Mum for a chat
  • went for a walk
  • read a book
  • tried a new recipe
  • watched a movie
  • worked out
  • relaxed
  • took a nanna nap

Very soon it became evident to me how much time I was wasting per day on FaceBook.Always complaining I never had time to check my emails – let alone respond to them!

Pay attention to your Social Media  time.

Stop those notifications to your SmartPhone and get out there and live your life!
